My favorite animal Horse
Many domestic animals are kept around the world. These animals are very useful for humans. Animals like cow, bull, dog, cat, horse, camel, donkey, elephant etc. are kept in our country. My favorite animal among all these animals is the horse. Horse is used for many purposes in our country. A horse is very powerful. It carries people as well as heavy objects from one place to another. A horse is powerful as well as intelligent. He can stand in one place for a long time.
A horse's body is shapely. He is very beautiful in appearance. A horse's muscles and legs are very strong which enables it to run at a speed of 80 to 90 km per hour. In ancient times, horses were used for going to war. Great kings like Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap etc fought and won many wars with the help of horses. Shivaji Maharaj's favorite horse was named Krishna. Maharana Pratap's horse was named Chetak. Due to the speed of this horse, Maharana Pratap won many battles.
Horses have been used as a means of transport since ancient times. In earlier times, horses were also used for agriculture in many places. A horse obeys its owner just like a dog. He comes running on a voice of the owner. The life span of a horse is about 25 to 30 years. But a nineteenth-century horse named Old Billy lived to be 62 years old. The highest breeds of horses in the world are found in Arab countries.
Horses come in many beautiful colors. Like black, brown, white, blue etc. Their average height is 5 to 6 feet. A horse has two eyes on both sides. When a horse is ridden, its eyes are blindfolded to prevent it from straying. A horse's neck is a bit long. A horse has a long tail, which is covered with fine hair. Horse dung is used as fertilizer in many places.
A horse adapts to the situation. Whether the road is unpaved, paved or hilly. A horse easily overcomes all problems. Horses are used to play the world famous sport of polo. Apart from this, horse racing is also famous all over the world. In our Indian culture, the horse is considered a symbol of power. The bridegroom is mounted on a horse in the marriage ceremony.
Today the use of horses has decreased due to increasing means of transportation. Nowadays horses are used only in hilly and forest areas. Apart from this, horses are kept in wedding ceremonies, circuses and zoos.
