The rain

Summer, monsoon and winter are the three main seasons in our country. But out of these three seasons, monsoon is my favorite season. Summers are scorching hot and humid. Monsoon relieves us from this heat and gives us pleasant coolness. Cold winds from the south bring rain with them. These winds are called monsoon winds. In India monsoon pavsala lasts from July to September. During this period, heavy rainfall occurs in some areas while in some areas it rains very little.

Rain makes the land cool and green. I really like this change. Meanwhile, the farmers get busy in plowing and sowing and within a few days the nature becomes pleasant. Cows start grazing on the ground. Cool breezes begin to blow and the music of rain soothes the ears. Dark black and thick clouds start moving in the sky. Seeing this sight of the clouds and hearing the sound, the peacock starts dancing happily. We welcome this beautiful season with joy.

But often rain also causes damage. The roads are filled with mud. Sometimes rivers also get flooded. Trade also slows down due to difficulties in transportation. The houses of the poor begin to leak and often collapse due to heavy rains. Many poor and beggars have no shelter. Many insects like ants, wasps, snakes and earthworms are born during this season. But whatever it is, it is a fact that Monsoon is the best of all seasons in our country. Seeing this pavsala many poems come to mind, one of them.

Especially the farmers welcome the rainy season. Because its crops depend on rain. If the monsoons fail in a year, their crops are ruined. Monsoon (pavsala) provides food and vegetables for us. Forests become rejuvenated and green. Rivers and waterfalls that have dried up in the summer begin to flow again due to the rains.
