If the farmer goes on strike

If the farmer goes on strike

If the farmer goes on strike

Our country is an agricultural country and in our country the farmer is considered as the food provider. Farmers work day and night in their fields to produce food grains, vegetables, fruits and flowers for the country. The contribution of farmers to the economy of our country is 17%. Farmers are the backbone of India. Today we are self-sufficient in terms of food because of farmers. Apart from this, many food items are exported from our country to other countries. 72% of the population of our country lives in villages and their main occupation is agriculture.

Despite the contribution of farmers in the Indian society, the condition of the farmers in the country is very poor. They spend day and night in the fields and their crops are not paid the right price. As a result many farmers commit suicide. But have you ever thought that if a farmer gets fed up and goes on strike... In our country teachers, doctors, government employees as well as workers go on strike to fulfill their demands. But farmers go on strike very rarely. And if the farmers go on strike for a long time, there will be chaos in the whole country. There will be no crop in the field. As a result, the amount of food left in the country will slowly run out.

There will be fights for one bread. When the food in the country runs out, the government will have to import food grains from abroad. The price of this food will be very high. If farmers do not grow crops, the country's economy will deteriorate. Raw materials are sent from farms to big factories. But raw material will not be available as there is no agriculture. As a result, industries in the country will come to a standstill. Slowly our country will fall behind. In fact, if the farmers go on strike, there will be disorder and chaos everywhere.

Government should implement timely so that farmers do not go on strike. Instead of just loan waivers, the import-export policies should be changed and the agricultural produce should get a fair price. Facilities like irrigation facilities, strong crop insurance etc. should be made available easily and cheaply. Farmers should be trained and taught modern agriculture. Crops damaged in floods and other natural calamities should be compensated. Farmers are our food provider so we should know about their lives too.
