My Village
My parents and I go to the village on holidays. My village name is Girvi in Maharashtra. My village is very small in terms of area. My grandparents do farming in the village. They have a house there. I feel so calm and happy when I go home. There are green fields on all four sides of my village. Apart from this, there are many green trees and bushes in front of every house. All the people in my village live together with each other. The main occupation of the people here is agriculture and animal husbandry.
There is a big stream in my village. I take a bath in this stream in the afternoon during summer vacations. There is a temple on the banks of the stream where the old people of the village sit every evening. Apart from this, children from the street are seen playing here. My village also has a school but it provides education from 1st to 12th. Children go to nearby taluka or district town for further education.
There is a famous temple of Lord Bhairav Nath in my village. In the month of Chaitra, a big fair is held in the courtyard of this temple. People from far and wide come here to have darshan of Lord Bhairav Nath. Meanwhile, there are big shops selling clothes, jewelery and toys in the village. So people from surrounding villages come and shop in our village. My village has many open fields where we play cricket as well as other sports. Very few vehicles are seen in my village. So the amount of pollution here is very less. I love to go and sit in the fields. The air in my village is very clean. All the people in the village are healthy and live long because of the clean air.
Due to lack of modernization in my village most of the village roads are dirt. I want to become an engineer when I grow up and complete village roads and other development works. I love my village very much. My village is a clean village and my village is the most beautiful.
